Event Manager
The SAP supply chain Event Manager (EM) application enables substantially improved visibility within logistics processes for both planning, execution and exception management.
The flexibility of the solution allows logistic processes to be mapped, controlled, and checked, whilst a role-based approach allows business processes to be viewed from various perspectives. EM can be used to process messages about supply chain events and notify those involved in the supply chain network about business events that have occurred. By actively notifying the responsible parties and making them aware of critical situations or exceptions, it is possible to optimise reaction times and improve quality and customer satisfaction.
Integration
The EM system is a component of the SAP SCM (Supply Chain Management) business suite and can be implemented either as a part of SCM platform, or on an ERP system, depending on the business requirement. EM integrates with many of the SAP applications, especially:
