Implementation
At Rocket we pride ourselves on delivering quality projects on time, to quality and on budget.
We have developed our own methodologies and best practices to capture and harness the collective experience of our consultants and standardise the way we run and deliver projects.
Classic
The classic approach of blueprint, realisation, launch preparation and business readiness.
Prototyping
Ideal for customers with low SAP knowledge or have unclear business processes. This is an iterative approach that enables proof of concept via short design & build cycles, delivering quick results which can be evaluated and fed into the next iteration.
Booster
The Booster method is designed for customers with limited time and/or budget. It facilitates more rapid deployment with a more prescriptive approach.
Implicit in all of our methodologies is Rocket Best Practice. This includes technology, business process and project management and is designed to provide the best method of delivery for our customers.
Design and Blueprint
These are the most critical phases of any project as they define the building blocks on which future phases follow. If the Design and Blueprint are thorough and complete then the chances of a successful project are significantly increased. Get these wrong and the project will become a hard slog of requirements tuning, costly rebuilds and confused user expectations.
At Rocket our methodologies may differ but our goal of achieving the best design and blueprint do not. We have highly developed tools and templates that allow our consultants to focus more of their time on design and less time on administration.
Realisation
Realisation is the phase where design becomes a reality. Rocket consultants are specialists in their field and this enables them to identify the best solutions for the design. We work closely with the business users to ensure the design is adhered to and understood at all times.
Business readiness
At Rocket we recognise that it is only when the business utilises the new system effectively that business benefit can be truly delivered. It is therefore imperative to ensure that the business is ready when the system goes live in order to start delivering this benefit as soon as possible.
At Rocket we work closely with our customers to ensure they understand what they need to do to ensure they are ready at Go-Live time. We perform a readiness assessment and produce a business readiness plan to help our customers hit the ground running. We do not consider a project to be delivered until the business has resumed normal operations and is beginning to deliver business benefit.
Continuous improvement and support
Projects are rarely the end, they are the beginning of a new chapter of operational opportunity. The relationships we have with all of our customers extend beyond the life of the project and into a post project phase which we call continuous improvement and support. Following Go-Live there is often a need to fine tune the system and operational processes and we have considerable experience of working in this environment helping bring operationally stability as the new processes bed in.
As the organisation gains knowledge of the new systems and processes new opportunities are often identified that would help further improve the solution, and so the cycle of continuous improvement begins. An iterative cycle designed to maximise the return on investment and promote of culture of ambition and progression.
