Chanel

  • Chanel is a Parisian fashion house, renown for its fashion, fragrance, cosmetics and jewellery. Chanel sells its products through a network of authorised retailers throughout the world. Chanel was faced with strong sales growth in its UK fragrance and cosmetics business. This threatened to impact on award winning customer service levels and exceed the current warehousing and distribution capacity.
  • Rocket introduced a phased program of operational redesign and transformation to enable the UK distribution centre to service increased demand while maintaining customer service levels and provide a platform for continuous improvement and business growth. The project was initiated with benchmarking of operational performance measures and holistic analysis which were used to determine the project’s detail objectives.
  • Project goals were achieved through the combined improvements across process, organisation, technology, and the SAP Warehouse Management software as the enabling backbone.
  • The Rocket Booster Implementation Methodology was used to perform an accelerated (12 day) Blueprint and to guide and advise the business through appropriate best practices, SAP functional design and technology.
  • Rocket Packs where used to provide considerable business benefit over and above standard SAP functionality.
  • Key areas to business: customer service, promotions picking, storage utilisation, stock control, efficiency, accuracy and real-time operational management.
  • Project achieved all goals on-time and on-budget.

Harrods

  • Founded as a grocery in 1849 Harrods has grown into a world famous high-end department store. It’s motto, "Omnia Omnibus Ubique," which loosely translates into "You want it, we got it." is supported by in excess of 300 departments over the seven floors of its Knightsbridge store where on an typical day around 35,000 shoppers browse, a crowd that can swell to 350,000 during sales. The Harrods brand has extended by opening signature shops in airports and department stores in Asia and Europe as well as selling online.
  • Harrods continues to drive out value from their investment in their SAP IS Retail ERP system, expanding the breadth of supported processes and enabling business improvement. To help them achieve this they engaged Rocket as their SAP supply chain and warehouse management partner.
  • Rocket provide Harrods with a single point of support, from strategy and best practice opportunities, through process optimisation and down to the detailed software and technology implementation.

Smythson

  • Smythson of Bond Street is a British manufacturer of luxury stationery, leather goods, diaries, fashion products and bespoke stationary, based in London, England where they have been established for over 100 years. Smythson products are sold around the world in their own shops and high-end department stores.
  • Smythson were facing business critical degradation of operational performance which was impacting customer service and the supply chain of their luxury leather and personalised stationery. Rocket were called in on a rescue mission to help recover, stabilise, and improve the operation whilst supporting them through their peak period.
  • Rocket took a structured approach allowing a rapid understanding of the operational, system and technological barriers that the operation was facing. This was quickly followed by a combination of targeted education, hands-on practical help, process review and redesign.
  • In a short period of time the operation was stabilised and backlogs reduced. The business was able to better self manage and continue their journey of improvement.

The Body Shop

  • The Body Shop International (Body Shop) operates a chain of cosmetics stores specialising in skin and hair care products made from natural ingredients. It is a subsidiary of L'Oreal, one of the largest cosmetics company in the world. The Body Shop operates in over 50 countries worldwide.
  • The Body Shop required a specialist company to help bring the SAP Warehouse Management aspects of their project back on track and help overcome several big challenges to business critical processes in the final stages of a large SAP R/3 Enterprise implementation project.
  • Rocket Consulting provided a team of consultants and worked within tight deadlines to detail the key priorities. After quickly establishing the Blueprint design Rocket implemented SAP R/3 Warehouse Management and Task & Resource Management based solutions to support business critical processes. The new picking process for multiple packs optimised packing by volume and ensured the efficient use of resource and packing materials. Rocket ensured the project was delivered on time and helped enhance The Body Shop’s project team reputation.
