Working together with Smith and Nephew Rocket helped bring focus to the project team to achieve the rapid delivery of operational capability in the new European distribution centre. The project was driven by corporate reorganisation which dictated very tight timelines for a business critical project.
The initial scope of the SAP based warehouse management project was successfully delivered and has provided the platform for ongoing process optimisation and throughput improvements, including the increased use of Intermec mobile data (RF) devices and the integration of a carton sortation conveyor.

SAP (UK) required an implementation partner with very strong SAP Logistics Execution and Warehouse Management expertise to implement a stand alone SAP Warehouse Management system within a tight project timeline and budget for their pharmaceutical clients UK distribution centre.
Rocket assisted SAP in the successful pre-sales cycle and provided SAP with the project team working as Team-SAP.
Rocket's implementation methodology ensured tight management of progress, scope and costs, while using a combined Rocket/Client team structure to help minimise project cost and maximise knowledge transfer. Key technical challenges of Non-Standard SAP interfacing and customer specific â€˜Live-Loading' picking requirements were met successfully and the project was delivered on budget.
